Summer Picnic 2002
On Saturday, June 29th from 10AM to 9PM, Christians of many different ethnicities and denominations from all over the Twin Cities gathered for a giant Church Picnic at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. This was the first year we used two big stages featuring a great variety of Twin Cities praise, worship and gospel groups (stage schedules for the event are listed below).
Again this year we provided a full block of free kid's activities, including Moon Walks, Air Volleyball, Bouncy Boxing, the Bungee Run and much more. We also expanded the Petting Zoo and Pony rides to facilitate people. We also had a Christian business and ministry tent. This tent provides people with the opportunity to find and connect with trustworthy businesses and ministries. Our education tent this year featured both K-12 Christian schools and Christian Colleges. It was a great opportunity for you and your kids to explore the possibilities for a Christian education and learn about costs, services and locations. Another significant change was the addition of a Hmong tent and an Hispanic tent which featured Hmong and Spanish businesses and ministries, as well as ministry within the tents for those seeking help.
